
Middle School Learning Lab, Part-Time
Wichita Collegiate School (WCS), a thriving Independent School located in Wichita, KS, will add a part-time Middle School Learning Lab Teacher to our team for the 2025/26 school year. Learning Lab Instructors are responsible for providing assistance to Middle School Students (Grades 5-8) to enhance their overall skills and abilities of each individual student. Learning Lab Instructors are expected to provide individualized and impactful support for students in order to facilitate learning and growth. Learning Lab Instructors act as a liaison between students, families, and MS Teachers to provide the level of care and support necessary for each individual student.
Middle School Learning Lab Instructors may be responsible to provide support to students individually as well as in small groups. These supports include academic support, executive functioning skill development, as well as other specialized needs that students may require. It is intended that our Learning Lab instructors have a strength and/or ability to provide support in Mathematics, English/Language Arts, and/or General Executive Functioning Skills.
Learning Lab instructors will have the opportunity to support students through differentiated methods, including observation of students in classrooms to provide additional support necessary based on individual needs in each subject area. Along with supporting students individually, Learning Lab Instructors will assist in providing necessary accommodations for students when necessary.
Learning Lab Instructors come from varied backgrounds but are passionate about assisting students achieve their personal and academic goals at Wichita Collegiate School and beyond. Our Learning Lab instructors have at least a Bachelor's Degree and experience in education that aligns with the learning lab needs. Three years of experience with students and/or direct instruction is preferred; advanced education or relevant professional experience may be substituted for experience in education.

Collegiate Educators are expected to be on campus from August 1 through May 31. During the school year, school hours of operation are 7:30 from 4:30 pm; the classroom schedule varies by department. Faculty members are expected to participate in school activities to foster our sense of community.
